Handcuffs with chain

This pair of arm protectors is made of thick, tanned buffalo leather with vegetables (granules) and soft suede. The two layers of leather are connected by rustic-style rivets. The surface and edges of the thick granulated leather were polished and received a light-colored finish, giving the leather a distinct used appearance.

This beautiful one-handed Viking Age sword is a reproduction of a find discovered in 1874 at the Gnёzdovo archaeological complex near Smolensk, Russia, during the excavation of tomb C-15. Dated between the ninth and tenth centuries, the original, remarkably well-preserved piece was found buried in the ground, next to the urn that contained the cremated remains of its presumed owner.
On one side, the blade bore the inscription +ULFBERH+T, and on the other side, a sequence of vertical lines and volutes, the meaning of which remains unknown to this day.
