At the Council of Troyes in 1128, the Order of the Temple was recognized by Pope Honorius II. Knights received the white robe as a symbol of the purity of his life, which Pope Eugenius added to the Red Cross in 1146. King Baldwin II, king of Jerusalem, installed in the Order in an area of the Jerusalem palace believed to be the temple of Solomon, who bear the name of the Knights Templar or Templars. Orders of battle for the defense of the Holy Land are legendary, as it is still a wealth accumulated mystery losses.

In medieval times, many Crusaders wore these tabards on the armor, often combined

with an appropriate robe. They wanted the typical cross to be seen that symbolized the

teutonic orders to fight for the liberation of Jerusalem.

Our tabards have a loose cut and are made following historical examples.

The cross is arranged on the left side above the heart. The tabard is cut into the

front and back.

The Crusaders wore tabards (from the French tabard), also known as tunics, over their armor. They were usually stamped with the cross denoting the knight fighting for the liberation of Jerusalem.
