The Knights Hospitallers (also known as The Hospitable Military Sovereign, Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and Malta,
As winter approaches and Viking nights get longer and darker once again, it's time to get ready. From the struggle for food, wealth and land, men return to their villages.
As we know here, the Vikings also had to get dressed enough not to be victims of the cold. But what were the methods at that time? Animal skin, which today is more on the ground, was a very popular helper in the Middle Ages. Especially in winter, this fur skin was probably a warming miracle. But even when the days were longer again and the sun appeared more often, the skins could still be used, for example, to make the chair or seat more comfortable.

In the Middle Ages, the robe was a basic garment. Generally used by ordinary people as protection against elements, the robes could have several different lengths, with or without hood, and came in a variety of styles or patterns. There were numerous ways to fasten this particular type of coat or cape - with a fibula (brooch), a small chain, bows or, later, buttons.
Our hooded robe is made of plain cotton and closes at the front with a single wooden button and single.

Shoulder skin made of Nordic sheepskin, rusty brown
As winter approached and the Viking nights became longer and darker again, it was time to get ready. After long raids in search of food and riches, the men returned to their villages to spend the winter and spread the story of their triumphs.
Even the Vikings of that time had to warm up enough, as we know it today, to avoid falling victim to the cold.
But what options did they have?
Animal skin, which today is more of a decorative accessory found on the ground, was a very popular feature in medieval times. Especially in winter, the skins were probably a warming wonder. But even when the days got longer and the sun appeared more often, the skins could still be used, for example, as a seat cushion to make a chair or bench more comfortable.
This shoulder skin is perfect for getting closer to a wild warrior or a brave Viking. Whether it's a Viking festival or a medieval market, with this shoulder skin no cold will get in the way.
As our skins are natural products, small variations in color, length or size of hair are completely normal. They are untreated and therefore free of chemicals. Due to the adapted shape of the shoulders and neck, there are no folds and the hair does not protrude. So nothing stops the next big event!

Medieval cover with velvet finish, unisex, black
Cloaks were an integral part of clothing during the Middle Ages and were worn by all classes. They were available with and without hood and in various lengths and cuts. The cloak protected and warmed in bad weather. If the cover didn't offer enough protection, they wore a hood over the cover.
This unisex model, both wheel coat and semicircle coat, is made of cotton fabric and contrasted with velvet. The loss was made with a two-layer piece of metal.
Details:
- Available sizes: Single size
- Available colors: black
-Material: 100% cotton
- Total length: about 138 cm (measured in the center of the back)
Care instructions:
Cotton velvet should not be placed in the washing machine, as velvet wrinkles irreversibly. Velvet should also not be ironed, as this will cause the hair to lose depth. We recommend brushing light stains with a clothes brush in the direction of the pile. If there is major contamination, we recommend taking the cover to the laundry.
This Gugel is an excellent building material and a long tip (also attached to Liripipe). Due to the long tip, it can be attributed to the High and Low Middle Ages. This Gugel can be transported in various sizes and can also be accompanied.
A feature of the hood in general is this hood, which also covers the shoulders. The hood was first worn by the Vikings. In the High Middle Ages it was part of the everyday clothing of farmers, artisans and travellers. From the fourteenth century, the hood became a fashion accessory - the trim became fairer, the tip longer and the hem often decorated. From the sixteenth century it was rarely used.
