SNAR is a classic medieval sword with a functional and minimalist design, crafted entirely in the style of the historical originals. The long, double-edged blade is made of high-quality steel and tapers evenly towards the tip. The sharp edges are not sharp, making this bastard sword ideal as a collector's item, prop, or decoration/display piece. The black leather-covered grip ends in a solid disc pommel with black circular accents on either side. The same detail can be found in the steel guard, the ends of which are slightly curved towards the blade.
The sword comes complete with a black scabbard of wood and leather. Two brass buckles allow for easy attachment to a sword belt or leather straps.

The surviving examples of these short, unadherent blades are often highly embellished and ornamented with engraved or gold blades and deep multi-turnpers bordering on jewels rather than weapons. But under the romanticisms of high Renaissance fashion there was a tool made with purpose. A wide, rigid blade that can be put into play in confined spaces and cause a deadly wound!

Factory Entertainment's 1:1 scale replica of the Ressikan flute was copied directly from the surviving assets in the CBS archives to ensure accuracy. It is milled from solid brass alloy and hand-painted to suggest a vintage finish, and is complemented with a coiled cord tassel decoration. The storage box is cast in polyresin and lined with EPS foam. The flute appeared in several episodes and, as is normal in productions, some minor modifications were made to it over time. This replica is designed to capture all of them in a single run combined. Like the prop, the Flute doesn't play, however the development team at Factory Entertainment understood that the melody we heard is intrinsically linked to the prop and as such we wanted to include it in some way, but this posed significant technical and licensing challenges. Our solution was a hidden audio feature in the storage box that, when activated, plays digital audio taken directly from the episode's original soundtrack.
This replica is a numbered limited edition and includes a Certificate of Authenticity booklet.
Requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included)
Katana blue-silver 440 stainless steel blade.
The elegantly simple lines of the Paul Chen/Hanwei Golden Oriole Wakizashi have long been favored by admirers of the Japanese sword.
The story told by the impressive tsuba is of a praying mantis chasing a cricket, not knowing that he himself is being chased by a golden porcupine.
The blade is hand forged in high carbon steel and hardened differentially to display a distinctive hamon. The deeply varnished blue of the saya is repeated in Japanese cotton tsuka-ito , and a cricket motif appears again in kashira . Each Wakizashi comes with a custom cloth bag for proper protection and a Japanese blade maintenance kit.
The corresponding Golden Oriole Katana (Product No. SH1018) is also available to complete your collection.

Roman Xanten Gladius with scabbard, 3rd .C., sword decoration
The gladius, the main weapon of the Roman legionaries from 3rd c. BC to the 3rd c. AD, has been used in many variations over the centuries. But eventually, this highly feared short sword was gradually replaced by the longer spatha during the Roman Empire.
This dress or kirtle
Medieval long and waist is made of sturdy cotton fabric (canvas). The skirt is equipped with so-called gores (wedge-shaped/triangular pieces of fabric) that give it a generous enlargement, and the upper part features a front center loop in thick cotton for individual adjustment. The ends of the tie cord are equipped with metal tips that allow you to easily pass through the sewn eyelets. While we're aware that shoelaces require a lot more time than a zipper to get dressed in, we deliberately opted for a lace clasp to keep the look of the dress as authentic as possible.
The cut of this dress is based on medieval illustrations from the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries. Although women's clothing had been cut rather loosely and hiding the figure until then, this era saw the emergence of increasingly tight clothing. Or Cotehardie, which evolved from the loose French Cotte and roughly translates as bold cotte, probably owes its name to its bold and fair nature.
A typical kirtle or cotehardie usually featured loops or button clasp in the center of the front. The introduction of shoelaces and buttons as functional clasps (rather than purely ornamental items) was actually what made possible, in the first place, fashion tailored and adjusted to the body. Another distinctive feature of these dresses was the wide neckline, which seemed to get lower and lower with time and was particularly popular with women during the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The cotehardie used to be combined with a shirt or shirt, a veil and a narrow belt. The short-sleeved variant was also often used with removable and interchangeable pin-on sleeves.
Historical illustrations of the fifteenth century. kirtles can be found, among others, on the June calendar page of the Duke of Berry's Book of Hours, a French illuminated manuscript (original title: Les Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry), or in the Book of Simple Medicines (Woman and Unicorn) illustrated by Robinet Testard.
