This medieval floor-length dress with 3/4 long sleeves is made of sturdy cotton fabric (canvas) and slightly adjusted. The strong canvas fabric creates a sturdy, heavy dress that is therefore more suitable for spring and fall (or for winter, when combined with season-appropriate underwear).
Contrasting edges of colors and filled cord make the dress really stand out from the crowd. It has partition seam just below the waist and pockets hidden in the side seams. The skirt part has a wide flare and is made without gores (wedge-shaped pieces of fabric).
Following the fashion of the early Middle Ages, this outer garment is quite loose and shows only a little of the waist. Therefore, we recommend that you combine it with a leather belt.
This dress is ideal for depicting women of the lower and middle classes from the early to the high Middle Ages, and historically fits – among others – into the era of the Franks, Slavs and Vikings.
