Medieval brigandine, leather armor for torso, various sizes
This lightweight, sturdy torso armor, also known as brigandine, is made of 2 mm thick vegetable tanned leather. The chest and shoulders are reinforced with 2 mm thick leather pads or plates, each securely fastened with four antique brass rivets. The material and particular construction not only allow a greater degree of mobility than the metal coating of the plates or scale armor, but also add great visual appeal to the piece.
