One-and-a-half hand sword (also called a bastard sword) is a classic example of a long sword cut and stocked from the late European Middle Ages.

Although not an individual replica of an original historical piece, it features the typical features of a traditional late medieval long sword and is modeled after the armament swords wielded by 15th-century Gothic knights with full armor. These weapons of war were unable to pierce or cut the armor of plates, but were particularly effective when they stabbed themselves in the gaps and unprotected and vulnerable joints in the protection of the opponent's plates and penetrated the mesh quota and padded clothes.
The long, double-edged blade of the medieval sword we offer here is forged in tempered and hardened EN45 spring steel. It features a diamond flattened cross section and gently lines toward the pointed tip. The edges are not sharp and the complete blade spike is screwed into the pommel.
The cruciform handle features a wide crossbar and a generously sized wheel apple, both made of steel. The 21 cm long and 0.6 cm thick protection has slightly enlarged feathers with rectangular and clover-shaped cutouts. The visually striking handle is composed of a wood core with leather and steel coating: while the first half adjacent to the guard is bound in black leather (with X-shaped ribs or loops underneath), the rest of the handle is wrapped with twisted steel wire.
This medieval medieval hand and half sword comes complete with a wooden sheath and black leather with steel throat, chape, middle band and hinged hanging rings. The motif of three-lobe clover leaf / open clover that adorns the perforated guard (an architectural and ornamental element typical of the Gothic era) is repeated in all accessories of the sheath.
Note that this sword is not a weapon ready for battle. It is designed as collector's piece or decoration/display and is not suitable for combat reconstitution. In addition to its quality as a collectible, it is also perfectly suited as support, for example to complete your fantasy.

Usually made from cattle or goat horn and used as a drinking vessel in many cultures at different time periods, the drinking horn had great significance, especially for ceremonies. It continued in service until the early modern period, especially throughout Germanic Europe. A particularly popular drinking container during the early Middle Ages in Scandinavia, it was mentioned in both the Prose Edda and the Poetic Edda. Although horn fragments from the Viking Age are rarely recovered in archaeological excavations, the number of preserved metal horn fittings leads to the assumption that their use was much more widespread than actual horn finds indicate.
