Our 15th century stuntman is the perfect piece of clothing to wear under plate armor. As the Middle Ages drew to a close, more plate armour became available and it was less and less necessary for the knight to wear a heavily padded gambeson, which led to the creation of the doublet. This allows all the components of the board reinforcement to fit into it and work properly together. At the same time, it provides enough padding to make wearing the armor more comfortable and acts as a great shock absorber.

With comfortable padding sandwiched between two layers of CHUNKY COTTON CANVAS, this is a functional armor double, unlike its flimsy replicas. Our doublet is supplied with many reinforcement points with pure brass aiglets, making tying your armor pieces easier than ever. Along with the photographs, you will find a detailed size chart.

14th century quilted and buttoned gambeson bone is handcrafted from two layers of STURDY CANVAS COTTON sandwiched with a thick layer of padding, making it a perfect suit of armor on its own for any light infantryman, archer, gunner, or any soldier who relies on mobility to avoid a battle they don't want to fight in. It can also be worn under plate or chain armor, making them more comfortable to wear. This particular gambeson is directly inspired by an EXISTING GAMBESON that belonged to Charles of Blois during the fourteenth century.

We are not talking about synthetic or ultra-thin padded gambesons available on the market. We are talking about ROBUST CANVAS and REAL filling, which makes the difference when looking for an authentic gambeson! Our medieval brigandine is the perfect accessory for your next LARP costume or for your next cosplay fair or medieval event. This style of arrangement of riveted steel plates on the interior is quite unusual, but not unheard of. We decided to base our brigandine loosely on an existing statue of the Sleeping Guard from a reliquary in the Wienhausen Monastery. c. 1270 currently on display at the Provincial Museum, Hanover.

This statue shows the same type of plate arrangement for the upper torso, but we decided to add spaulders to protect the soldier's arm, making it a perfect wardrobe piece for any frontline combatant. And when you want to add maximum hit points in your next LARP, you can easily pair it with a gambeson, chainmail, and brigandine itself with a nice belt for a stunning look!

Between the two well-crafted layers of ROBUST CANVAS COTTON are tightly riveted steel plates, which enrich its performance as a large defensive clothing armor. It comes in three sizes; Its detailed version is available in the size chart well framed with the photographs.

It increased the wearing comfort of the knight's armor and was also able to absorb the blows of opponents and thus reduce the risk of injury.

This gambeson from Ulfberth is made of three layers of fabric: an outer layer of cotton fabric (canvas), a layer of polyester padding, and a cotton inner lining. The padding on the upper body is diamond-shaped. At the waist, the padding is horizontal and in the hip region and arms, the padding is vertical. The gambeson is closed with leather straps and metal straps in the center of the front. The stitched leather details reinforce particularly stressed areas. The sleeves are secured with nest straps and can be removed as desired. The high collar greatly increases the comfort of wearing armor or chainmail pieces on the neck.

This gambeson from Ulfberth is made of two layers of fabric: an outer layer of cotton fabric (canvas), a polyester filling/filling layer, and a cotton inner lining. The vertical seam secures the padding and increases wearing comfort. The gambeson is closed with straps, which are fixed on the inside and are therefore not noticeable. Slits at the sleeve hem and side seam increase wearing comfort.

This gambeson can also be worn as a winter coat.
