Maciejowski Chopper
Back by popular demand! There is no known historical name for this unique sword. It appears in the Maciejowski Bible, a medieval manuscript illustrating biblical stories with medieval clothing and weapons. This weapon also appears in other manuscripts of the time. Our drawing can be seen on plaque 21 entitled The Rescue of Lot.
The single-edged blade is wide and flat. The Two-handed grip offers a huge surface area to generate force in case of leverage. Hand-forged from high carbon steel by Windlass Steelcrafts® with wooden scales and aged copper fittings. This single-edged knife has been hand-forged from high-carbon 1075 steel.
