This floor-length dress has a loose cut and is individually adjusted to the body by means of loops at the waist and back. The bottom of the sleeves also has loop and can be adjusted.

The details adorned with cotton velvet such as the hem, the shoulder strap and the turtleneck give the dress an imposing character. The skirt part is wide and swings beautifully due to the wide velvet hem.

Velvet emerged in the fourteenth century in the Mediterranean region and was woven mainly in Italy. Care instructions:
Cotton velvet should not be placed in the washing machine, as the velvet will wrinkle irrevocably. Velvet should also not be ironed, as this will cause the hair to lose depth. We recommend brushing light stains with a clothes brush in the direction of the pile. For thicker stains, we recommend taking the dress to the laundry.

Even the Vikings of that era had to wrap up warm enough, as we know it today, to avoid falling victim to the cold.
But what options did they have?

Animal skin, which today is more of a decorative accessory found on the floor, was a very popular feature in medieval times. Especially in winter, furs were probably a warming marvel.But even when the days got longer again and the sun came out more often, furs could still be used, for example, as a seat cushion to make a chair or bench more comfortable.
