Our underbust bodice is made of black velvet and has cotton lining. The longitudinal seams are reinforced with rods. These create a wonderfully feminine silhouette when tied up. The bodice is tied at the front and center of the back at waist height. An overlap in the center of the back covers the gap that would otherwise remain open with the loop. The lace is slightly elastic, which is very beneficial for tying and wearing comfort. In general, this bouquet is extraordinarily comfortable and a real gem.

The velvet bodice goes well with matching blouse and skirt or on loose dress. Anyone who does not insist on an authentic corset can complete their costume of pirate, squire, witch or noble with this bodice.

These gauntlets are based on a find from the site of the battle of Korsbetningen (Gotland Island, Sweden), just outside the city walls of Visby, where an army of Gutnish farmers and peasants fighting against the Danish conquest of Gotland was crushed by the forces of King Valdemar IV of Denmark (Valdemar Atterdag) on 27 July, 1361.

The battle gauntlets we offer here are made of 2mm thick leather and 1.2mm steel. The upper leather features riveted metal plates that entirely cover the back of the hand and the five fingers. It is riveted into an inner sleeve made of supple leather. The long riveted leather cuff is reinforced with oblong steel plates on the inside and equipped with an adjustable leather strap and a brass buckle for a comfortable and personalized fit on the wrist.

This pair of articulated leather and plate grips offers a combination of safety, freedom of movement and comfort of use. It is best suited for late medieval settings and particularly suited to the depiction of a 14th-century Northern European warrior. An ideal accessory for reconstitution and LARP!
