The blades are made of Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel and receive a state-of-the-art heat treatment that includes double tempering, ensuring they are unsurpassed in strength and tenacity. The adhesion of these blades is a model of efficiency and economy. The handle, guard and sub-handle are molded by injection into an integral piece of Kray-Ex ™. This reduces the cost, but offers durability, security and control for which a sub-handle is famous. And, as an added bonus, it makes the handles impervious to moisture or weather.

Honoring merrill's name Marauders - also known as Code nameGalahad , the renowned Assault Unit of the United States in the Theater of Conflict of Southeast Asia - Cold Steel's® Marauder® Bowie is robust, ruthless and reliable. It features an extra wide and sharp blade with a continuously curved edge, wide and deep chamfers (for greater edge resistance) and a formidable cutting point.

Suitable for many military, survival and hunting scenarios, the Marauder® is available with a smooth or serrated edge style and equipped with a versatile Secure-Ex sheath®, allowing the knife to be securely and securely fastened to a belt or backpack, or LBV.

AUS 8A Stainless Steel
Cold Steel has® been using the same Japanese AUS 8A steel expertly treated thermally for nearly 3 decades. This steel has been tested incredibly well over the years and has proven to be an excellent steel for working knives - resistant, corrosion resistant, with good edge retention and easy to resharpen.
