Due to its total length of 82 cm, this Viking-era sax or scramasax knife should be classified as a sword. It features a single-edged EN45 spring steel blade with a thick spine and pointed tip. The full blade spike is robustly peeled up to the pommel. A particularly wide fuller runs through the top two thirds of the blade along the column and ends just before the tip of the blade. The wooden handle has a tight bond of thin brown leather cord.
