Mjölnir (= the grinder or crusher) is the powerful hammer of Thor, the Norse god of thunder and second highest deity after his father Odin. In Germanic mythology, Mjölnir was forged by the nom Brokkr and, once played, would never lose its target. It was with this same hammer that Thor defeated the giants who incessantly threatened the Vanir and Æsir pantheons. Today, Thor's hammer is a popular motif for jewelry, talismans and decorative items. It is also a symbol of paganism within a Christian environment.
The rustic and highly decorative container we offer here is not only ideal for re-enactment purposes, but also for everyday use. Whether in a medieval setting or in a modern house, it will be a real draw at any dining table.

Horn mugs are not suitable for dishwashers and should be thoroughly cleaned before first (and after each) use with warm water and a soft cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents that may damage the protective coating.

A cloak was part of all basic equipment in the Middle Ages and protected ordinary citizens from wind and weather. It was available in a variety of lengths, with and without a hood, and in a variety of cuts. There are several ways to close the cover: fibula, chains, ribbons or later buttons.
Our long-cut cover fastens with a wooden button and a loop. It is made of plain cotton and has a hood.

Late Roman centurion belt An authentic replica of a late Roman belt (cingulate) of a centurion, the officer of a group of one hundred soldiers of the Roman legions.
The belt is made of red cowhide approximately 3 mm thick and is equipped with ten spindle-shaped brass decorations and a massive multi-part belt buckle. Two brass rings are also attached to the belt, on which a dagger (pugio), a sword (gladius or spathe), or a belt pouch can be used.

This battle-ready Viking sword was developed in close cooperation with fencing and martial arts instructor Volker Kunkel and his West-Coast-Institute. Unfortunately, Volker did not live to see the launch of this small series on the market. He passed away very early, in April 2021.
The goal was to offer a sturdy, yet light and well-balanced sword, ready for battle, with a smaller budget. Here, Volker contributed his many years of experience as a fencing teacher, trainer, and traveling merchant in medieval markets. The Ulfberth® team and their blacksmiths have implemented these specifications and the result is a battle-ready Viking sword with a great value for money.
Based on the original from 9 to 10 c. examples found in Birka, Sweden, and classified as Type H/I according to Petersen's Viking sword typology, features a spring steel forged blade, which has been hardened in oil and tempered with a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-52 HRC. The very wide fuller makes it flexible and lightweight. The sword comes with approx. 2 - Edges 2.5 mm thick and tip rounded and relatively wide, which makes it eligible for combat on stage.
Like many surviving historical examples of the time, the triangular pommel is a two-part construction: the complete spike of the blade is anchored to the lower section and the pommel cap is fixed to the base by means of two rivets.
This sword is available with two different blade lengths (select the model you need from the drop-down menu: short = 64 cm / long = 74 cm). The short version is particularly ideal as a beginner's sword for fencers who are not yet very strong.
