The goal was to offer a sword ready for robust but light and well-balanced battle for the smaller budget. Here, Volker has contributed his many years of experience as a fencing teacher, trainer and traveling trader in medieval markets. The Ulfberth team® and their blacksmiths have implemented these specifications, and the result is a cost-effective, cost-effective Viking sword.
It has a blade forged in spring steel, which has been hardened in oil and seasoned with a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-52 HRC. The very wide fuller makes it flexible and lightweight. The sword comes with approx. Edges 2 to 2.5 mm thick and a relatively wide rounded tip, which makes it eligible for stage combat.
This sword is available with two different blade lengths (select the model you need from the drop-down menu: short = 64 cm / long = 74 cm).
The short version is particularly ideal as a beginner's sword for fencers who are not yet very strong.

Gil Hibben Hellfyre Highlander Bowie with Hem, United Cutlery
This is a masterpiece by Gil Hibben that you absolutely have to add to your collection now! I don't want any excuses! If you don't, you'll always regret it! The Bowie Hibben HellFyre Highlander Knife was manufactured using the exclusive HellFyre Damascus forging process, which is pure innovative genius.
Small Viking knife with damascus steel blade and wooden handle and bone with twin snakes
This hand-made Viking Age knife features a 256-layer Damascus* steel blade. The wooden handle draws attention: the top is made of bone and adorned on each side with a beautiful motif of the Midgard Serpent. The handle ends toward the blade with a brass collar, and the brass cover is equipped with a convenient eyelet (to thread a cord or pull the knife from its sheath).
This floor-length medieval dress has a loose cut and comes with a belt. The fine cotton fabric and contrasting cotton satin details give this dress a particularly elegant look. The sleeves are also in a contrasting color on the inside and can be worn rolled up.
The cut of the dress is typical of Bliaut (or Bliaud) and is based on the fashion of the eleventh to the thirteenth centuries. The bliaut was originally a noble and courteous outer garment made of light fabrics and with wide trumpet sleeves. This form of format made it clear to everyone that they came from a higher class, as they were inconvenient in everyday work. Over time, this style of dress also became consolidated among the bourgeoisie, but usually with narrow-cut sleeves or knots tied at the hem of the sleeve. The Bliaut was not only worn by women, men also wore this outer garment, albeit at knee height.
Bliaut features include wide sleeves, thin fabrics and a wide skirt. The trumpet sleeves sometimes took on exaggerated shapes and sometimes reached all the way to the floor. Usually the bliaut was combined with a veil and a belt.
Depictions of a Bliaut of the time can be found, for example, in the Sant'Elena fresco of the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Milan and in the Hortus Deliciarum, an encyclopedic work from the late twelfth century.

Gothic Bulbs, Arm Guards with Pointed Couters, 15º c., 1.5 mm Steel, Pair
This wearable hinged reconstruction of a late medieval plate armor for the arms is modeled on a 15th-century German original (ca. 1465). It is made of 1.5 mm thick steel and darkened on the inside for better corrosion resistance. It is designed to protect the forearms, elbows, and lower arms.
Arm protection consists of a very pointed couter or cowter (also known as an elbow cop), a two-piece tubular (hinged) vamp or lower barrel for the forearm, and a tubular semi-rebrace or upper barrel (closed with rivets) for the arm. The three elements are connected to each other by sturdy leather straps that are riveted on the inside and allow adequate freedom of movement. Two holes positioned on the top edge of the rebrace allow for proper attachment to a shoulder piece (shoulder pad) or to a gambeson (braided cords with brass tips are included in the scope of delivery).
Equally suitable for historical reenactment, LARP, or fantasy, this articulated arm armor is ideal for late medieval and Renaissance settings and will make your portrait of a proud knight perfect!
