This beautiful version of the classic pirate alfanje features all the appearance and manufacture of the sword that was known to sailors from all over the world during the seventeenth century. Made of 1055 high carbon steel, this functional sword features a curved blade. It is wider at half the tip of the blade, with the spine slightly higher. There are three fullers that descend down the narrowest section of the blade near the spine.
The basket-handle cross guard has S-shaped quillons. The other bows towards the fist. The protection of the basket is shell-shaped on one side, the other sides being open and swept. A touch of berry adorns this basket guard and the tips of the quillons. The handle has a cuff wrapped in black leather. It ends with a fan-shaped apple.
Finally, this sword comes with a black scabbard. It has a silver head and throat. Designs of shells adorn the head, while more intricate nautical designs adorn the throat. The throat has a metal strap to hang from the belt.
