The so-called Great Helmet (also called a large helmet, large heaume, pot helmet, bucket helmet or barrel helmet) was often worn on a smaller and lighter helmet (e.g. a cervelliere/secret helmet) and was widespread throughout Central Europe in the Middle Ages. Numerous historical illustrations, miniatures and finds from Germany, Flanders, England, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, etc. testify to the popularity of this particular type of helmet at the time. These helmets emerged during the Crusades in the late 12th/ early 13th century. and were commonly used by knights until the mid-14th century.

The large helmets used by kings on the battlefield were commonly equipped with a crown to distinguish them from others and highlight their status. Thus, they could easily be recognized by their own troops in the fight and receive special protection. It may also have given them the option of being taken hostage and rescued, rather than being killed by opposing forces.
The finely handmade medieval helmet we offer here is made of 1.6 mm (16 gauge) steel and adorned with a riveted brass crown. The component parts are all connected by steel rivets. Every slit of the eye has approx. 13 cm long, 0.5 to 1 cm wide and the numerous round cutouts on the right side of the rudder ensure adequate ventilation.
The blackened interior is equipped with a leather suspension lining. The 3 mm thick brown leather chin strap is adjustable and closes with an antique brass buckle.
Suitable for lightweight combat reenactans, LARP, stage or TV/movie, this fully usable and truly real helmet will make your transformation into a noble king perfect. Of course, it will also be a great decorative addition to any helmet collector's treasure chamber.

Axes were important tools and weapons in the daily lives of the Vikings. They were used to cut down trees, work wood or in battle. The Axe heads were made of different materials, such as stone, bone, or metal, and had different shapes and sizes depending on the purpose. Many Viking axes were elaborately adorned and served not only as practical tools, but also as status symbols. Today, Viking axes are popular collector's items and often used in movies, TV series, and video games to convey the image of the wild and fearless Vikings.
In terms of shape, the head of the Viking axe that we offer here is classified as Petersen type G. The blade of this axe is made of EN45 high carbon steel and engraved with a Nordic motif. The handle is made of sturdy ash wood and wrapped in leather.
