This typical armor of the Roman imperial cavalry consists of many small brass plates, similar to fish scales, which are sewn into a solid canvas and leather vest and intertwined with wire on the longitudinal sides. This construction pattern should prevent the opponent's blades from penetrating between the metal plates. The shape, size and also material of the scales were very different. In Carnuntum, the capital of the Roman province of Pannonia, more than 30 different shapes and types of this type of armor were found. Our scale armor is the shortcut version, which was used around 100 to 250 Dc.

The Lorica Squamata is tied with leather straps on the side and collar.

Features:
- Material: brass plates, approx. 35 mm x 25 mm x 0.3 mm, sewn with vegetable tanned leather
- Chest circumference: approx. 115 to 125 cm
- Total length: approx. 60 cm
- Weight: approx. 6 kg
