This beautiful Viking Sword is based on an original sword that was part of the great tomb of Vestre Berg in Løiten/Løten, Norway. According to archaeological records, the grave was discovered in 1887 among some rocks during cleaning work. A distinctive feature of the original, which dates back to the tenth century, is the blade, which was presumably ritually bent into an "S" shape. It is not known if this practice was intended to symbolically "kill" the sword before it was buried, or if the purpose was to deter grave robbers. The sword, classified as Type O according to Petersen's Viking sword typology, is now in the collection of the Kulturhistorisk Museum (formerly Universitetets Oldsaksamling) in Oslo, Norway.
The replica features a wide, double-edged blade with wide, fuller, and unsharp cutting edges. The grip consists of a handle wrapped in red leather, a short, slightly curved guard, and a generously sized five-lobed pommel. The bronze guard and pommel are engraved with the same patterns and motifs that adorn the original find.

This beautiful bastard sword is a detailed, high-quality replica of the famous "Writhen-Hilt" sword, which dates back to around 1480 and is presumably of German origin. It owes its name "contort," meaning "twisted" or "contorted," to its unique fist shape. The original sword once belonged to art collectors Frederic Spitzer and William Randolph Hearst before being acquired by the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, UK, in 1952.
This reconstruction features a double-edged blade approx. 88.5 cm long that tapers towards the tip. The cutting edges are not sharp. The blade has a pronounced medial crest running down the center of the blade, typical of Oakeshott XVIII swords. However, it is believed to be the manufacturer's brand. In reference to this, this replica is engraved on one side of the blade.
The handle and cross-guard are made of brass to resemble the original, where these elements have been worked in gilded bronze. The hilt is made of wood and is adorned with two decorative brass rings, one in the center and the other just below the guard. The hilt, quillons, and grip are all artfully sculpted and shaped to resemble a twisted staff of three interlocking branches, which spread out at the ends.
The one-and-a-half-handed sword comes with a brown wooden/leather scabbard with a brass throat and chape with Gothic decorations.
