The Philippine islands are widely known for their wide variety of edged weapons. There is a wide variety of Kris sword styles to choose from, as each island, region, or clan has its favorite, with some placing more emphasis on cutting, while others prefer styles that are more conducive to thrusting.
Cold Steels Kris' blades are made of 1055 carbon steel with hard spring quenching. They are satin polished and fully honed. In profile, Kris blades feature a moderately wavy blade shape with three concave curves and a long, descending spearhead found on almost all Kris swords. This blade shape strikes a good balance between cutting power and thrust capacity. The base of the blades ends in traditional flanges decorated with "file cut", with the shorter one protecting the finger and the longer one protecting the thumb, wrist and lower forearm.
Classic straps emphasize strength and durability over fashion. Hand-carved from exotic Sal wood, they are wrapped with wire and embellished with a brass cushion. Each Kris comes with an equally sturdy and practical sheath.

Burkhard Medieval Cover, Unisex, various colors
The cape, a basic garment during the Middle Ages, was worn by all walks of life. It was available with or without a hood, in various lengths, and also in a variety of styles or patterns. It protected and kept the wearer warm in adverse weather conditions, and anyone who thought some extra protection was needed wore an additional Gugel (a hood that covered the shoulders) over the cover.
This unisex semicircular cover is made of cotton fabric and equipped with a large hood. It is closed with wooden button.
We would like to point out that cotton fabric is not waterproofed. However, it can be easily treated with a water-repellent spray to resist light rain.
Please note: the delivery includes only the cover! The other items in the photo above are available separately in our online store.

German Bascinet, medieval helmet with hinged visor, ca. 1370, steel
2 mm bascinet appeared in the early 14th century. It evolved from the so-called cervelliere or secret helmet (a simple skull hat) and remained a popular helmet until the 15th century throughout Central Europe.
The late Middle Ages, battle-ready helmet with visor that we offer here is a replica of an original bascinet from the 14th century (ca. 1370 AD) that is on display for people to admire at the German Historical Museum (Deutsches Historisches Museum or DHM) in Berlin, Germany.
It is made of 2mm steel and equipped with a riveted face shield that is hinged into a single point in the center of the eyebrow. Especially in the 14th century. Germany and northern Italy, this particular type of center-hinged visor has enjoyed great popularity. The visor has an eye slit approximately 16 cm long and 1 cm wide, as well as several round cutouts on the right side for proper ventilation. The sides and lower edge of the helmet bowl are studded with so-called vervelles that allow the addition of a chainmail, aventail or camail (not included).
The blacked-out interior is equipped with an adjustable lining made of thcik cotton fabric and attached to the edge of the bowl with sturdy stitches. The 2 mm thick leather chin strap is adjustable and closes with a brass buckle. The helmet is also equipped with another leather strap to secure the klappvisor when in the lowered position.
This slim and fully wearable knight helmet will make your transformation into a proud knight simply seamless. Of course, it will also make a great decorative addition to any helmet collector's treasure chamber.

In ancient times, tunics were worn mainly on the skin as underwear. But by the early Middle Ages, its use had changed and the tunics became a common piece of outerwear. The preserved fragments are few, but many contemporary illustrations, such as the Bayeaux Tapestry or illuminated miniatures/manuscripts, provided evidence of what medieval garments looked like and how they were generally worn.

As Gunto called the Japanese military sword. At the end of the 19th century, the design was based on the French military saber. In order to bring the troops closer to the spirit of the Samurai (Bushido) code of honor, a similarity to the appearance of the Katana was decided from 1934.
The swords of the simple soldiers were generally manufactured industrially and therefore of simple quality. On the other hand, the swords of high-ranking military personnel were often equipped with traditional family heirloom blades. The rank of officer could be recognized by the colors of Sageo. Unlike the katana, the sageo was mounted at the end of the Gunto.
