This floor-length medieval dress has a close-to-the-body cut and comes with a belt. The fine cotton fabric, the contrasting satin details (material: 52% viscose, 48% polyester) and the attached edging give this dress a particularly elegant look. An amount of trumpet sleeves can be removed and removed.
The cut of the dress is typical of Bliaut (or Bliaud) and is based on the fashion of the eleventh to the thirteenth centuries. The bliaut was originally a noble and courteous outer garment made of light fabrics and with wide trumpet sleeves. This form of format made it clear to everyone who belonged to a higher class, as they were inconvenient in daily work. Over time, this style of dress also became consolidated among the bourgeoisie, but usually with narrow-cut sleeves or knots at the hem of the long sleeve. The Bliaut was not only worn by women, men also wore this outer garment, albeit at knee height.
Bliaut features include wide sleeves, thin fabrics and a wide skirt. The trumpet sleeves sometimes took on exaggerated shapes and sometimes reached all the way to the floor. Usually the bliaut was combined with a veil and a belt.
Depictions of a Bliaut of the time can be found, for example, in the Sant'Elena fresco of the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Milan and in the Hortus Deliciarum, an encyclopedic work from the late twelfth century.

Discover the Forged Brown Tachi 11731, an impressive Japanese sword with a fascinating history! In the old Japanese war, the tachi was an essential weapon for warriors and its design was adapted for use on horseback. This sword had a scabbard attached to the armor by two straps and was perfect for infantry. However, when horses went into battle, the straight sword design was no longer useful, as the blades broke easily upon impact. To solve this, the modified Japanese design of the katana and tachi was created with a curved blade that provides greater stability and ease in extracting the sheath.
The Forged Brown Tachi 11731 is one of those amazing curved swords, made with carefully crafted details. The 1050 steel blade is sharp and ready for use and the handle is expertly coiled for a comfortable and secure grip. The scabbard of the sword is beautifully lacquered in dark brown.

The look and cut of this tunic are based on archaeological finds dating back to the 11th century. However, it is not an individual reproduction.
Nederfrederiksmose Man, also known as <,i>Kragelund Man or Fredriksdal Man, was found in 1898 near the town of Kragelund, Denmark. It was the first bog body photographically documented at the site of discovery. He wore a tunic, short leather boots, and bare-legged.
Our knee-length tunic is made of sturdy cotton canvas and adorned with hand-sewn ornamental stitches. It is elaborately finished and designed as an outer garment. So-called buds (wedge-shaped pieces of fabric) inserted into the front and back center panels and side seams give the tunic a beautiful shine from the hip down. The unconventional tailoring of the sleeves shows the combination of wide arms and regular forearms.
This tunic is ideal for the portrait of the Nordics. For an authentic look, we recommend that you wear it with a leather belt.
