This beautiful sword is a replica of the Imperial Sword of the Holy Roman Empire. Because it is also associated with Saint Mauritius, it is also known as Mauritiusschwert. This sword is part of the Imperial Regalia of the Holy Roman Kings and Emperors and was given to the Emperor along with the other Imperial Regalia during a coronation. The original is on display in the Imperial Treasury at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.
The reconstruction we offer here has a long, double-edged blade that tapers slightly toward the tip and is fuller along about two-thirds of its length. The edges are not sharp.
The cross-shaped hilt ends in a Brazil nut apple made of brass and engraved with the arms of the Holy Roman Emperor Otto IV.

This battle-ready Viking sword was developed in close cooperation with fencing and martial arts instructor Volker Kunkel and his West-Coast-Institute. Unfortunately, Volker did not live to see the launch of this small series on the market. He passed away very early, in April 2021.
The goal was to offer a sturdy, yet light and well-balanced sword, ready for battle, with a smaller budget. Here, Volker contributed his many years of experience as a fencing teacher, trainer, and traveling merchant in medieval markets. The Ulfberth® team and their blacksmiths have implemented these specifications and the result is a battle-ready Viking sword with a great value for money.
Based on the original from 9 to 10 c. examples found in Britain and classified as Type L according to Petersen's Viking sword typology, features a blade forged in spring steel, which has been hardened in oil and tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-52 HRC. The very wide fuller makes it flexible and lightweight. The sword comes with approx. 2 - Edges 2.5 mm thick and tip rounded and relatively wide, which makes it eligible for combat on stage.
Like many surviving historical examples of the time, the pommel is a two-part construction: the trilobed upper section is fixed to the curved base by means of two rivets, and the complete spike of the blade is solidly hammered into the lid of the pommel.
This sword is available with two different blade lengths (select the model you need from the drop-down menu: short = 64 cm / long = 74 cm). The short version is particularly ideal as a beginner's sword for fencers who are not yet very strong.

Axes were important tools and weapons in the everyday life of the Vikings. They were used to cut down trees, work wood or in battle. The Axe heads were made of different materials, such as stone, bone, or metal, and had different shapes and sizes depending on the purpose. Many Viking axes were elaborately adorned and served not only as practical tools, but also as status symbols. Today, Viking axes are popular collector's items and often used in movies, TV series, and video games to convey the image of the wild and fearless Vikings.
In terms of shape, the head of the Viking axe we offer here is classified as Petersen type M. The blade of this axe is made of EN45 high carbon steel and engraved with a Nordic motif. The handle is made of sturdy ash wood and wrapped in leather.

An ancient human race from Middle-earth, the Elves are noble, elegant, and magical beings in harmony with the natural world and its forces. Elves have clearer perception and higher consciousness than humans, which was a valuable help when Gil-galad, the last High King of the Noldor, joined with Elendil, King of Gondor, to create the Last Alliance of Elves and Men in order to defeat the evil Sauron and his legion of orcs. The army of the Last Alliance won the Battle of Dagorlad. Then, on the slopes of Mount Orodruin, despite heavy losses, the Alliance managed to drive Sauron's forces back. The elven sword was unique to Middle-earth, and represented the pinnacle of combining a weapon with the warrior who wielded it. The widely spaced grip was developed by the Elves to give them maximum rotation when moving the sword through the spinning swivel stroke which was their own distinct attack style. This sword is handmade with a real stainless steel blade, however, it is a non-functional prop replica just for display.
