Medieval bodice / Corsage Tilda with added hem, black bodices emerged in the late Middle Ages and are still a basic item of traditional folk fashion to this day. They give the upper body the desired shape and can be used both below and above the outerwear. Compared to corsets, bodices (also called corsages in the old day) are less rigid and very comfortable to wear.

Our lace bodice is made of fabric cotton fabric woven into twill stitch and lined with a thin layer of cotton. The added bottom hem - which funnels slightly into the center of the front - emphasizes the waist in a lovely way and creates a pleasant and level transition with the underlying piece.
